Rehomed Angel to a home with a teenage boy that loves him and they are getting along great! :)
We also have a new addition to the horse family that I am co-owning with a friend as well but I don't have any pictures. She needs a little work but she has the same good minded sire that Satin does and seems to be pretty quiet so I think she has some good potential. First nice day I need to get all the horses up for a beauty spa bath day and pictures.
Now some pictures to share and I will try to start blogging more regularly so I can have a back story for them lol.
I took Levi and Satin to an indoor arena over the winter. Levi just once but Satin I took a couple times, just for the experience and new atmosphere and to ride with some friends. I did find out that Satin might have potential to be a fun show barrel horse!! Not anything I ever expect out of her but might be fun for us and Levi had been practicing barrels at home on the grass until it got raining too much. She is pretty sure footed for being a bigger horse, unlike her mother is rather clumsy on the grass lol.
Dad and I went for a ride down the road a couple times (he hasn't been on a horse in years) I gave him his choice of horse to ride and he chose Levi both times lol... she spooked once and reminded him you never really forget how to sit a horse.. he surprised himself at still having a good natural seat when she spun a 360 LOL!
Satin was also a drag horse for a benefit ride at Elk Rock State Park. I will need to sit down and blog that one and share some pictures. It was fun to ride for a good cause!
Also my son graduated high school this year so have been busy with that and my daughter will graduate next year!! Time sure flys!
Way to go Nathan!! So proud of him.
Satin showing her support on the benefit ride. She was a ambassador for horses as usual and gave a ride around the park to the little girl the ride was for. She has never met a person who didn't love her after meeting her. :)
"Mom are we done yet?"
Satin after one of days breezing down the dirt road trying to get legged up for barrels.
One of our evening rides thru the pasture before the rains started taking over.
